  9. Scrambled is a word game in which you are given a scrambled word to decipher. You may choose the word length (up to 12 characters). Scrambled keeps score for the competitively inclined. Both your average time and your point score are tallied.

  11. Scrambled is great for STUDENTS! It really puts your brain through a workout. Scrambled exercises your verbal, spelling, and pattern recognition skills.

  13. Scrambled words are used on Mensa tests. If you're polishing up to go let the word know what a genius you are Scrambled is the thing to use.

  17. Help is available in the program, but for those with less-than-perfect eyesight I have reproduced it here.

  19. • New Word brings up a scrambled word for you to decipher.
  20.  
  21. • When you've unscrambled the word write it in the rectangle.
  22.  
  23. • If you are correct you will hear a friendly chime. If not, tap Clear Entry or rubout the incorrect word and try again.
  24.  
  25. • Tap Give Up to let Newton unscramble the word for you (i.e. cheat).
  26.  
  27. • You receive 10 points for every letter in a word you solve.
  28.  
  29. • If you Give Up you loose 60 pts for a 4 letter word, 55 pts for a 5 letter, 50 pts for a 6 letter, etc...

  31. • Drag the slider to change the word length.

  33. • A timer next to the egg in the top right corner is active when you are solving.
  34.  
  35. • New Word starts the timer.
  36.  
  37. • Avg Time is the average time that you have taken to solve each word.

  39. • Giving up cannot help your avg time, but it CAN hurt if you wait too long.

  41. • When deciphering a word you cannot call up a new word until you've solved the current word or have given up.
